Relationships[]
Romantic[]
Priya Nair[]
Devon and Priya have been in a relationship since before the Pilot started, and are engaged. On Devon's first day, Priya gave him an engraved watch with "Dr. Devon Pravesh". Devon turned down drinks with Conrad in order to be with her. They are planning a small, intimate wedding of around 150 people.[2] For her birthday, he gave her a rescue puppy.[3]
Devon called off their engagement, right before their wedding, due to his feelings towards Julian Booth.[4]
Julian Booth[]
During their time working together at the hospital, Julian and Devon developed feelings for each other, to the extent that Devon left Priya because of these feelings, though she went missing before they could start a relationship, when she revealed her whereabouts, they slept together and went on a date, but before they could continue their relationship, Julian left Atlanta.
Nadine Suheimat[]
Nadine was initially Devon's VIP patient. After her treatment, Nadine revisited the hospital to see Devon, which ended in them starting a relationship, which later ended offscreen.
Leela Devi[]
Leela and Devon worked together on many cases during Season 4. They were even set up by a matchmaker, though Devon turned her down, Leela and Devon later began a relationship at the end of Season 4 and in Season 5, they moved in together. Though, they later broke up for a while due to them wanting different things before getting back together at the end of Season 5.
Familial[]
Tejan Pravesh and Himaya Pravesh[]
Tejan and Himaya are Devon's parents. In Family Affair, they came to visit and have dinner with Devon and Priya. He is proud of his parents, as his dad drove a cab to put him through medical school.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, his father, Tejan Pravesh, caught the COVID-19 virus, presumably by driving his cab to pay bills, even though Devon offered to pay their bills for them. Unfortunately, Tejan died from the virus and Devon believes he would have had a better chance at surviving if he had stayed in a private hospital, like Chastain Park Memorial Hospital at the time.
Notes and Trivia[]
- He finished top of his class at medical school.
- He went to Yale and Harvard.
- In the Pilot episode, Devon's Harvard diploma is a "Bachelor of Arts in Medicine". This is impossible since there is no undergraduate concentration of Medicine at Harvard. "Doctor of Medicine" (MD) from Harvard Medical School would have been realistic.
